The opportunity
A private equity-backed healthcare group is appointing a Group CFO to lead its finance function through an ambitious phase of growth and operational maturity. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the board and investors, this is a pivotal mandate to shape strategy, sharpen performance and ready the business for its next chapter. It is a rare opportunity to bring commercial rigour and steady leadership to a purpose-driven, fast-moving organisation.
What you’ll do
- Partner with the CEO, board and private equity sponsor to set and execute the group’s financial and commercial strategy.
- Lead the full finance function, including financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, statutory reporting and compliance.
- Drive the capital agenda, overseeing funding, debt facilities, covenant management and investor reporting.
- Build robust forecasting, budgeting and performance frameworks that give clear visibility across multiple operating sites.
- Spearhead M&A activity, from origination and due diligence through to deal execution and post-acquisition integration.
- Mentor and uplift a high-performing finance team, embedding strong governance, controls and a culture of accountability.
What you’ll bring
- CA or CPA qualification, backed by a relevant tertiary degree in accounting, finance or commerce.
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a private equity-backed, multi-site or high-growth environment.
- Sound understanding of the healthcare or regulated services sector, or a demonstrated ability to learn complex operating models quickly.
- A strong track record across M&A, capital raising and value-creation initiatives delivered alongside investors.
- Commercial acumen paired with technical depth in statutory reporting, tax and treasury management.
- Polished communication and influencing skills, with the gravitas to engage confidently at board and investor level.
Why this role
- A genuine seat at the table, with the autonomy to shape strategy and leave a lasting mark on the group’s trajectory.
- The chance to lead value creation alongside an experienced private equity sponsor during a defining growth phase.
- A flexible, hybrid working model and a competitive remuneration package, inclusive of superannuation.
